About HIP

HIP is an independent forum for parents and carers of children with disabilities in Hackney. We are a small but expanding group with big ambitions to make parents and carers of disabled children a force to be reckoned with. Parents need a bigger say about services for their children. We are fed up of hearing about families denied the support and information they need.

Caring for a disabled child can be hard. We can become dispirited and feel we have no control over our lives or the services supposed to help us. HiP wants to see parents and carers back in the driving seat,
